In what was another fantastic year for Korean dramas, the top 10 list includes everything from an action-packed thriller to a ghost hotel and love stories of all ages. This wholesome series starring Gong Hyo Jin as a single mother living in a gossipy small town won hearts thanks to its brilliant characters, including Kang Ha Neul as the local police officer with a heart of gold and a commitment to seeking justice.
Another single mother drama, this time with Lee Na Young playing a woman who tries to get back into the workforce after many years and struggles with being recognised as a skilled woman. Throw in a younger man romance with her friend of many years played by Lee Jong Suk and you have a delightful drama on your hands. GOT7's Jinyoung stars in his first leading role in this thriller-crime drama about a boy who can read the memories of people and objects when he touches them.
With a fated meeting thrown in between him and the female lead, this is a drama that keeps throwing twists until the very end. It's a suspenseful one with some romance thrown in for good measure. Lee Seungi is an action hero on a mission in this thriller that traipses around the world. Starring alongside Suzy, Lee Seungi plays a stuntman involved in a plane crash who discovers a national corruption scandal and fights to expose it. Set in the Joseon dynasty, this drama which is based on a webtoonstars Jang Dong Yoon as a man who disguises himself to enter a women's-only village, and meets Kim So Hyun's gisaeng trainee.
There's drama and laughs along the way, and of course a romance. Another drama based on a webtoon, this series follows a high school girl played by Kim Hye Yoon who discovers she's actually inside a comic book and that she's one of the side characters set to be killed off soon.
She manages to change her fate by meeting Student Number 13 played by SF9's Rowoon, and much romance, action and drama ensues. A relatable drama for fangirls everywhere, this series focuses on Park Min Young's art museum curator character who also happens to be a massive fangirl and fansite manager for an idol. When the stand-offish new art director starts at the museum, played by Kim Jae Wook, it seems unlikely they'll get along.
But throw in a fake couple scenario, some outlandish comic moments and 'will they, won't they' tension, and you've got a hit drama on your hands!
A drama that muses on life, death and the afterlife, it won over fans internationally thanks to IU's stunning performance as a ghost forced to remain on Earth running a hotel for recently deceased ghosts.
Seemingly cold-hearted, her story is revealed bit by bit as she warms to the new human hotel manager played by Yeo Jin Goo, and their love story becomes devastatingly beautiful the longer you watch. With an outstanding ensemble cast, we doubt there's a dry eye in the house by the time you reach the finale. Kim Jojo finds herself caught between two guys who happen to also be best friends, each developing feelings for her.
Who will she choose?

Influencer Marketing is a hot topic that many marketers are exploring, testing and iterating. This article in Forbes highlights a number of guesstimates from various internet influencers and industry experts for the 2018 trends.
Our takeaway: Brands are still hesitant, creators are still hungry. Pricing is still all over the place. Reach is hard to quantify.
A YouTube view does not equal a Facebook view which does not equal an impression. Brands that integrate influencers into their original content have had success in 2017. As those case studies surface, we will hopefully see more companies experiment with new things. With many people choosing to watch premium, long-form video content on a TV screen, a new range of possibilities is available for advertisers.
Any video advertising campaign that lacks OTT storytelling risks missing out on a critical opportunity and may even be perceived as irrelevant.
